There's so much news about the wedding again! Today I am meeting an amazing florist, I LOVE LOVE LOVE her work and I know I can trust her completely. I know the flower decorations are safe in her hands, and that she will create an amazing atmosphere! I just love working with people who love their jobs. I am also meeting the catering guy later, and I will tell you all about that in the upcoming posts. But now let's dive right in to the topic of this post:
HOW TO PLAN YOUR WEDDING
If you decided not to hire a wedding planner and do the whole thing yourself, here are a few tips how I'm getting through all the preparations. First, let me just say I have no idea what I'm doing, but it seems to be working. I don't know how planning a wedding should look like, but as usual, I created my own path and tried to figure it all out. And I think I did a pretty awesome job! If I could bring this together anyone can. This is the simple bride wedding planning guide.
STEP 1: MAKE A TO-DO LIST
I made some research about the wedding protocols, and regarding everything else it's just our wishes. Try to keep it simple, but make sure to put everything on it - you don't want to realize you missed something last minute :D
Here's what's on mine:
STEP 2: WHAT THE HELL DO I DO NOW
First, don't get scared of the to-do list. I started planning our wedding only 5 months prior to it, and I'm in no rush. You have plenty of time, don't worry. The thing I (we) did first, is make the guest list. That helped with choosing the location, and consequently with the invitations, presents, decorations, etc. So I would definitely advise you to start with that, and take it easy from there on.
STEP 3: THE DRESS
In my opinion, the dress is one of the most important things at a wedding. Yes, he is going to be wearing a nice suit, but everyone will be looking at you. Therefore, I think it's best (and cheapest) if you have your dress made instead of buying (borrowing??) it at a wedding salon. And it's definitely beautiful to have it hanged in your closet forever (maybe even for future generations to wear). My wedding dress is being made by the same designer who made my mom's second wedding dress, but my dress is inspired by her first one. CAN'T WAIT TO TELL (SHOW) YOU MORE!
STEP 4: SLOWLY CHECK STUFF OFF THE LIST
As I said, you're in no rush. Everything's going to come together perfectly, wether you stress about it or not. Of course not everything will go as planned, but hey - that's the beauty of life. Just enjoy the planning and look forward to your wedding day! It's a celebration, not something to stress about.
And that's it! Planning your wedding in four simple steps, making the most out of every moment and just having a good time. I'll be back soon with more wedding updates, but for now I'm sending you tons of good vibes!
