Ever wondered where the 'stiletto & mini skirt' trend comes from? I have. And I've come to a conclusion; the fact that women are being assaulted, shamed, neglected, and much more, because they do or don't look as they should or shouldn't, has brought us to a breaking point. We've reached the peak of socialist sexism at work, on a night out with our friends, at school,.. always being pressured to look (appear) perfect. If we, women, come to work wearing sweatpants and sneakers we're sloppy. We have to wear high heels, a skirt just the right length, and a shirt with the right amount of unbuttoned buttons, while men can go to work in yesterdays clothes and everything is just fine. And then surprise surprise, we are the ones who get assaulted. Verbally, physically, it doesn't matter - we need to stand up for ourselves, we need to stand together and end this medieval way of treating women. WE ARE EQUALS. We get to wear sweatpants to work, and we can throw those heels that make our feet hurt so badly away and trade them for a pair of sneakers.
We don't need to look perfect for others. We need to feel perfect for ourselves, and we should. We are all worthy, we are all beautiful. We are all good enough, and we can (and should) all be proud of our bodies and personalities. No one else in the world is us, we are unique, and we should take advantage of that. Let's embrace who we are and be proud of it. Let's learn how to accept and love ourselves at all times, even at bad days. We're only human, we're not expected to be perfect - we're expected to be emotional, happy, sad, angry, to smile, cry,.. all that is what makes us who we are, and it's time to stop hiding that. It's time to make a change, it's time to start feeling comfortable within.
Today I'm posting this outfit because this is what I feel comfortable wearing. And in spite of it being a sporty outfit, I might as well wear that cardigan to work, or the sneakers to a date night. Just because I can. I'm tossing those heels for good, because I decided to stop trying to fit those surreal trends, to live up to somebody else's expectations. From now on, the only goal I will try to achieve is the one I set for my own well-being, and I know you can do the same. Together we can change these corrupt, ill-headed trends and expectations society hands us. Because we are society, and we can change it.
Have a beautiful weekend lovelies, talk soon!

Today I'd like to share a simple hack for a happy life with you. I've been practicing it for almost a year now, and it's amazing! Every day, before you go to sleep, write down 3 good things that happened that day. From the nice chat you had with the lady at the bakery, to the way your coffee smelled in the morning. Write down every little thing that made you smile, and pay attention to detail.
Here are 3 good things that happened to me yesterday:
1. I had brunch at my favorite place, and I met an old friend there, having a late breakfast. It was so nice to see him, and to hear all is well.
2. My boyfriend and I took a walk through the city, and the air felt so fresh and calming.
3. I shot this outfit and I had so much fun! The photos taken in the sun were so pleasant to take - I could feel the warmth of the autumn sun on my face, and it made me feel complete, in harmony with myself and my surroundings (cheesy as that sounds).
I hope you try this out. Write down 3 good things every day, and I promise you - you will find happiness in the little things. I've got to run now, I have to catch my appointment at the dentist (yes, again...). But hopefully it's the last time this year! Yay!
