I am not one of those who say that looks do not matter. People love to look great and there is nothing wrong about that-it is lovely to dress up and it can feel amazing to put on makeup every once in a while. Of course, if it all stems from a place self-care and not a place of self-deprecation. In this aspect, welcome to my self-care fashion and beauty blog!
Hey everyone, how are you?
This holiday season is super stressful for me, but I'm enjoying it so much! I love to spend time with my family and just go to bed early :) Anyway, guys from Rookie have sent me this beautiful outfit - I am so in love with the coat! Just last month I read in Vogue that the rose/beige/baby pink is the it color of winter 2016 and I could't agree more! What do you think? I think it's really great because it fits with black so good, and it doesn't bother being combined with blue jeans and a white shirt either. You can shop the look here:
Jeans: Cheap Monday
Coat & sweater: Minimum
Or just drop by the Rookie shop!
Sending you hugs and kisses and wishing you a lovely new year!

Today I have prepared something completely different you. I decided to walk you through a part of my life. This is a really personal post and I hope you get to know me better after reading it. Unfortunately I'm sick at home so I won't be able to post an outfit for some time now - supposably I have a bacteria called helicobacter pylori. I have had some problems with my stomach now for almost two years but I kind of ignored it and it only got worse. This week it came to a point where I couldn't eat, lay down or sleep because I was feeling sick all the time. So I came back home to Ljubljana and my mom immediately drove me to se a doctor. He gave me some pills for my stomach pain and sickness and said that when we get the lab results back, in approximately two weeks, he can give me the right antibiotics and I should be fine in about two months. (:
So I thought that this would be the perfect opportunity to connect with you all a bit more, I hope you can share a part of your life and adventures with me some time!
I hope you enjoyed reading this short overview of my life in the last seven years. My wish is to make this kind of post again in a couple of years, only with a lot more content! :D If you want you can also add me on facebook here to follow my everyday life!
Lots of love and happy holidays to everyone!
My dearest Roberto and I walked around the city and he showed me a new street and it's just so perfect, he says it looks a bit like New York - he's kind of right I guess! So today I have lots of photos for you; I just got a new pair of Max Mara shoes an I'm so in love with them! As someone wise once said: "Shoes make an outfit. You can throw on a crazy shirt and crazy pants but you add those shoes - done.", and that couldn't be more true. I really believe that when you are comfortable in your shoes it completely changes your whole attitude and body language. So my sincere advice to all of you my colleague shoe-fanatics is to buy one pair of good shoes once a year instead of buying twenty that hurt your feet and make you suffer just to look good.
Also I got some questions about the jacket I've posted on instagram a couple of days ago, so here are some more photos. I bought it at H&M for 60€ and I have to say it was a great investment - it's super warm and just so cozy!
You can shop my outfit here:
jacket, jeans and turtleneck: H&M

Hey my darlings!
Do you have all the presents yet? If you're like me and you don't wait until the last moment to do your Christmas shopping then you all know that now is not the time to hesitate! On Christmas eve I love to spend time with my family and friends. It's really good when we all come together and have a good time talking about happy news and just spending quality time together - I really think this is the whole point of Christmas. But of course it is nice to give and receive gifts, too. Everyone loves the feeling when you walk into a room, and you see the lights from the Christmas tree enlightening tiny cute wrapped packages sparkling underneath. And this is why I'm writing this post. It's hard to pick the right presents for your loved ones but I promise you, a watch is always welcome.
So here's the deal:
you make someone happy with a Daniel Wellington watch & my gift to you is a 15% discount, a special Christmas offer and free worldwide shipping on any DW product you wish - all you have to do is use the code nina_may!
I wish you all happy holidays and enjoy every second of spending time with your family & friends!
It's me.. I was wandering if you know where you're spending Christmas this year? I had to do this haha :D I'm staying home with my family and probably I'll spend a few days in Vienna, Austria with my mom, I'm really looking forward to it! But until then I have to stay warm & cozy, and the best way to do this is to get some sweaters at Rookie shop. There you can also take care of your girly glam with Herschel bags, Nixon watches and loads of other goodies!
Here's my favorite outfit from the shop:
