I am not one of those who say that looks do not matter. People love to look great and there is nothing wrong about that-it is lovely to dress up and it can feel amazing to put on makeup every once in a while. Of course, if it all stems from a place self-care and not a place of self-deprecation. In this aspect, welcome to my self-care fashion and beauty blog!
I just got back from Zagreb (Croatia) - yes, there will be a post about it up soon - where my boyfriend and I spent our four year anniversary. We had such a lovely time! But now it's time to get back to reality. Honestly I think I won't even miss summer that much since I love to keep myself busy all the time, so it suits me pretty well to run on a tight schedule.
Here in Ljubljana the weather is still so nice; not too cold, not too windy, but just enough to know there's change coming. I'm looking forward to school, evening ballet classes, 5am coffee, and cozy streetwear. So here's probably one of the last 'summer" outfits this year. I'm wearing a Deha midi skirt, a Topshop body, and Celine eyewear. The backpack you know already - one of my favorites from Marjeta Goršelj, and Žiga took the photos.
Enjoy the lovely days of autumn!
Yesterday my boyfriend and I visited a small town hidden under the alps, called Bled. It is the most beautiful place ever - a tiny lake with a living room-sized island, incredible views, and yummy desserts! I mean what else could one ask for?! I've been in love with this town since early childhood. My mom and I went there every summer, and since it's only a one hour drive from our hometown, we even came there a lot through the whole year. And that's how I met some amazing people; I would like to introduce you to one of them, Peter, who was our host yesterday. He is an old friend of mine, and I was so happy we finally got to spend a day together after so many years! It was so much fun - he took us to some awesome places, the guys even went swimming (the water is far to cold for me though hahah).
Ok so as usual I had to take some photos :D Peter has some serious style skills, here's what he's wearing:
Shirt & shorts: H&M
Tomorrow morning I'm off to Hvar island, Croatia, so you can follow my Instagram story & keep up with me! Honestly I can't wait - I haven't even been to the seaside this summer, so this one week vacay is much needed! :D
I'll keep you posted!
How's your September going so far? It really is the perfect Indian summer here in Ljubljana, don't you agree? With the temperatures still very high it makes now the perfect time for amazing afternoon-to-evening outfits. When the late afternoon slips into a fun night in the city center, you just have to have the perfect outfit (it really sucks if you have to go home to change, right!?).
Oh, one more thing! Last week I was at a Tod's event at Optika Mali the whole day, when suddenly I realized it's 10am! We were having so much fun with the ladies Tod's - it was such a pleasure to meet them. Angelica, the expert for choosing the perfect glasses for you, helped me get my perfect match. Not only I got a pair of amazing sunglasses, I also (FINALLY) have new prescription glasses! I'm so happy about that, I had no idea how bad my vision was. Tomorrow I have an extra appointment with a doctor, just to make sure I'm getting the right optics. So as soon as I have my lovely new glasses I'll make a post! But here's what I can say about my experience at Optika Mali so far: the doctors there are really nice, and the staff helps you pick the perfect glasses for you. Not to mention the amazing collection of designer glasses they offer - it's so hard only to pick one! But as I said, they make sure you pick the right one. (You can schedule an appointment here).
And finally, here's what I'm wearing:
Shades: Tod's from Optika Mali
Shoes: Jimmy Choo
Jewelry: Luna Handmade
Enjoy this lovely time of year to the fullest!

I'm so happy to finally make this post. As you sure have noticed, I'm wearing By Mia Bags for quite some time now - their totes have become not only my favorite grocery bags, but also the perfect accessory for a walk around the city. The girls behind the brand are Mia, who is the main illustrator, and Anja - she makes sure everything else is running smoothly. Mia is 12 years old, and already a true artist. Besides illustrating, she loves working with clay, and many other art forms, while Anja, the older sister (age 19), is the genius behind running the brand.
The young ladies are truly amazing, but I also have to say a word or two about their mom Mateja. She is also an artsy soul - while the girls focus on bags, she creates beautiful jewelry, toys, and home accessories. I'm really happy to know them all; it's always a pleasure to meet them for a cup of coffee, or just drop by at the Art Market on a Saturday morning. They're one of the most positive people I know, and it's a true privilege to wear their totes and jewelry, and to have Mateja's cute creations brightening up my home.
Check out their social media for all the cool new stuff (they're also making notebooks, pillows etc. now!):
