I am not one of those who say that looks do not matter. People love to look great and there is nothing wrong about that-it is lovely to dress up and it can feel amazing to put on makeup every once in a while. Of course, if it all stems from a place self-care and not a place of self-deprecation. In this aspect, welcome to my self-care fashion and beauty blog!
Hello my darlings!
I have some important news I'd like to share with you. Next thursday I'm moving to Gorizia, Italy to study art! Everything is going as planned, me and my boyfriend start moving our stuff on Thursday and on Saturday we move for good. We both chose the same university, I'm going to study photography but he decided to try filming. I am super exited about this big change I'm about to make. I will make a post about my new home and all of the new things in my life as soon as we settle in!
Ok, enough news, now the outfit! I'm wearing Okaidi jeans, a H&M sweater, Zara shoes, H&M bag and a Daniel Wellington watch. Again, the pants are form a children's store. I was looking for this baby pink color literally everywhere but couldn't find them no matter what. Then I walked past the Okaidi store at the mall and there they were! I'm so in love with them, they just might be my new favorite. The shoes are from Zara, I bought them last year but they're super comfortable and fit with every outfit! And the sweater, oh my dear! The material is amazing and so warm, I love that it is oversized but still short. And last, the bag. This is definitely a must have bag for this fall and winter. I bought it in H&M where they have many other designs, you should really grab one for yourself, it's just so handy. To complete the look I added a Daniel Wellington watch I got recently (I have to say, it really found it's way into every outfit I'm wearing). And finally, my make up. A natural baby pink glow and super cute gentle black and pink eyeshadow. Suitable for every occasion, keep it simple!
Hope you love it,
This isn't really a fashion related post but since I don't have a "personal" section on my blog I'll just post it here. I got tagged by a blogger Gul-e-Zehra for the "11 things you didn't know about me" challenge. I'm happy to be part of the chain and am glad to answer her 11 questions. You'll get to know me a bit better!
1. Who/what is your biggest inspiration in life?
I think my biggest inspiration are the goals I've achieved in the past. They remind me every day to keep going and to try harder.
2. What inspired you to start blogging?
I've always wanted to share my thoughts and creations with people, which is pretty hard to do in person. Many people don't get you, or they just act like they're interested but don't really listen. So I figured that if I start a blog it's the perfect way to be in contact with all of you who are interested without bothering others who are not. A blog is an amazing way to express yourself and inspire others.
3. Your top 5 beauty picks?
Hmmm that depends on many things (:
4. If you could travel the whole world, which 3 destinations will you pick first and why?
Ok first I'd love to see New York. I really want to spend a couple of months in Manhattan. I hope I'll be able to go to an art university there for my last 2 years.
Second I'd pick India. I'd like to visit some small villages there and just spend some time with the locals - get to know their rituals and religion and their way of life in general, and my third choice would probably be Canada. But this is a really hard question, there are so many places I want to see and to pick just 3 is almost impossible (:
5. What is your current obsession?
Chocolate. My whole life. It's just horrible. I think I may be addicted to it.
6. If you are given an opportunity to make your own makeup product with your favorite brand what would it be and why? What brand will you choose?
I think I'd pick Chanel. I'd love to design an edgy red lipstick. I think black eyeliner and red lips is all it takes to look stunning.
7. What do you like most about blogging?
Seing that people like what I do. When I first started I liked it most that I could write anything, be anyone. Now I'm just myself and people love that. It's the best feeling in the world and I am so grateful to all of you who give me such great feedback and read my blog. You are amazing.
8. Who are your top 3 bloggers and YouTubers and why?
Number one is definitely Victoria's In The Frow. She is amazing and her blog is so real and warm. Regarding number 2 and 3 I don't have favorites. There are just so many great bloggers who inspire me!
9. Do you have a signature makeup look or fashion style? What is it?
I don't think I have a signature look, I just dress up or do my make up the way I'm feeling at that moment. I think it can't get any more personal than that.
10. What is your biggest achievement in life?
I don't think I can point to one thing here. I've grown so much and I think every day is a great achievement. I really try to make every minute count and squeeze the best out of every situation. Maybe I could say that my biggest achievement is being able to see the good things in life, accept critics and bad days. But I really think our "biggest achievements" aren't really things or events, but what we do with who we are and how we create ourselves.
11. What will be your advice & guiding points for the young bloggers?
I guess my advice is to never give up on your dreams keep going no matter how hard it gets. If you decide to run a blog, do it for yourself. Never for the attention or products. Love what you do and do what you love.
Hey my darlings!
Now is a great time of year to still wear sandals but combine them with a massive jacket. As you know it can get pretty hot in the sun but as soon as you walk through a shadow it gets really cold in seconds and I'm here to help you choose just the right outfit for these couple of weeks. TIP: if you're small, like me, make sure to buy leather & denim jackets in the children's department! They're so much cheaper there. And try some pants too, girls jeans & denim are super cute and you pay half less than in the women's department.
So here's what you're going to do - follow these 3 simple steps & look stunning every day:
Always remember to keep it simple, less is more.
