I am not one of those who say that looks do not matter. People love to look great and there is nothing wrong about that-it is lovely to dress up and it can feel amazing to put on makeup every once in a while. Of course, if it all stems from a place self-care and not a place of self-deprecation. In this aspect, welcome to my self-care fashion and beauty blog!
Even though it’s the beginning of March, life feels like spring. The sun is out, and everything seems to be falling into place. Patience is a skill I learned in my early twenties, beginning my anorexia recovery. Before I always used to be very impulsive, wanting things done right away or not at all, but that changed.
''And don't spend your time lookin' around
For something you want that can't be found
When you find out you can live without it
And go along not thinkin' about it
I'll tell you something true
The bare necessities of life will come to you''
This is my favorite verse from the song 'Bare necessities' from The Jungle Book (1994). Watch some old Disney cartoons this weekend guys. It'll do you good (: Here are some of my favorites:
The Jungle Book (1994)
Sleeping Beauty (1959)
The Aristocats (1970)
The Lion King (1994)
My weekend is definitely filled with sunny days strolling thorugh the city & cozy evenings watching movies. If anything, these animated films have taught me to enjoy life, and stop taking everything so seriously.
The bare necessities of life will come to you.
This February marked 4 years of ninastanic.com, and I haven’t even managed to make a ‘happy birthday’ post! I am so happy and proud I’m keeping my blog alive. But I am also just a tiny bit sad, because I don’t manage to write & create more posts! The past year has been crazy, but I really feel I want to truly make something out of ninastanic.com now. I feel inspired by all the posts I’ve created in the past, seeing how much I’ve grown as a person (and as a blogger).
Getting married, starting my own business, growing my pilates practice, studying TA, attending more and more seminars and courses to expand more knowledge, buying a new car, publishing a book, and so on and so fourth – that’s what has been keeping me busy in the past year.
I feel energized and motivated to continue at this pace, adding more blogging & vlogging. I think my life is pretty interesting, and I thought why not share more of it with you?
So this year I started off creating a lot of YT vidoes, and I’m enjoying that so much. Now all I have to do is add more blog posts about stuff I love! Being able to slowly form a community of super cool people brings me so much joy. I am not here to show you who you need to be (like), I am here to show you to be yourself, and yourself only. Let’s continue to keep it real in 2019!
WHAT BLOGGING FOR ROUR YEARS HAS TAUGHT ME:
So happy birthday ninastanic.com, and thank you for all the love!
