As promised earlier in the Home Decor post, here's how I make my favorite breakfast. Mornings are so nice when you take some time for yourself, and for me breakfast is one of the things that are most important to kickstart the day. In my opinion, breakfast helps you wake up your body, boost your metabolism, and prepare yourself for the day in general. I got so used to that, that if I don't have a big energizing breakfast, I do not function at all during the day :D So my mornings usually look like this: wake up, bathroom: twenty minutes, getting dressed: five minutes, breakfast: one hour(and a half, sometimes). Now here's my favorite breakfast bowl of all times:
I use medium sized non-processed plain oats. No sugar or other additives! Make sure you get the most natural oats in the store. Check for additives and sugar, so you don't consume unnecessary stuff (oatmeal itself produces sugar in digestion).
Berries, berries, berries. I am in love with berries, I mostly use Blueberries, which are an excellent antioxidant, Strawberries, which are low in calories, but have amazing nutrition facts, and dried Goji berries & Aronia. Sometimes I also add mango, an apple, or a banana, but mostly it's berries.
Seeds are an incredible way to increase your level of energy. You can consume as little as a teaspoon, and already your body will be grateful. I usually use Chia seeds, but linseed, pumpkin and sunflower seeds, sesame, etc., are just as awesome! If you're a nut-freak, add some cashews, brazil nuts, almonds, or pecans, too.
I use plain full fat yogurt. I strongly advise you to keep as far away as possible from "low fat" and "light" foods. That's all a big fat marketing lie, in fact these products are filled with carbs and other shi*ty additives, which can cause serious damage to our bodies. I like to sweeten or fruit up my yogurt with honey or jam, but you can have it as it is - depends on how big of a sweet-tooth you are.
TIP: If you want a warm breakfast, just cook the oats in milk or water (I don't add yogurt in that case), and later add the fruit and seeds.
