So as you might have seen on my Instagram, I've been to Budapest (for the first time!!). It was a great trip, I'll tell you all about it in a post later this week! But as much as I love to travel, at this time it means A LOT of stress for me. I'm not able to stick to my diet plan, or keep up with my daily routines (which are extremely important for my recovery at this point). So regarding food this week was terrible - mostly takeaway from local bakeries, one time I even had a salad and salmon sandwich for lunch (at least some greens!). Workouts were kind of ok, we walked a lot in Budapest, and I managed to go to Alfa gym 2 times this week. Tomorrow I'm having a morning training with Carmen, and then I hope I'll find the time to go for a quick hike somewhere near Ljubjlana.
To conclude: a pretty good week. Except food. Food was ***t. But that's ok, I'm home now so I'll be back on track in no time (:
You're giving me so much love and support, I'm so grateful for that, but I'd also like to know how you're doing, so please let me know, ok? I hope all is well and you had a beautiful first advent Sunday!

Talk to you soon!
First let me apologize for the late post. I've been super busy, and on Sunday we've had a family lunch at Žiga's place (tomorrow is his birthday!!). I have to say, week 4 was great! I was super active, I followed my doctor's diet quite well, and I was feeling really good in general. I think I'm starting to see results on my body already - not to mention how much better I'm feeling.
And as it turns out, I'm not the only one who is seeing all my work and dedication starting to pay off! The Alfa Gym Fitness Studio team is also helping me a lot. My trainer, Carmen, got an idea; a collaboration between ninastanic.com and Alfa Gym, so we sat down over a cup of coffee and came up with some pretty awesome ideas and plans. But also, there's something we'd like to give to all of you - a 10% discount on ALL monthly tickets! We were talking about why my fitness journey even began in the first place, and we hope to motivate you to make a change and choose a happy, healthy lifestyle, too.
To all of you who are struggling - either with self esteem, body image, or health issues, and to everyone who'd like to get more fit, please take my advice:
You ARE worth the change, and you CAN do it. There's not a thing in the world that can stop you when you set a goal and give it your best. It's ok not to be perfect, it's ok to have bad days, it's ok to fail sometimes. In fact, you don't fail when you get back up; you learn a lesson. The only thing that matters is your mindset, how focused and dedicated you are to reach your goals, and how determined and positive you are about overcoming obstacles on your way there. Believe in yourself, and know that a lot of other people do, too.
10% DISCOUNT ON ALL MONTHLY TICKETS!
Use the code nina stanic at the reception desk of Alfa Gym to get a 10% discount on all monthly tickets.
At Alfa Gym you will not only find a whole bunch of supporting and motivating people, but also a relaxed vibe for your workout. If you're new to all this fitness stuff, don't be shy! Fell free to ask for help and/or advice, the team is always happy to help.
I really hope this post has motivated you to make some positive changes. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, I'm always happy to read your mail!
Tomorrow morning Žiga and I are going to Budapest, and on Friday to Venice, so there won't be any gym-related snaps on my Instagram story, but there'll sure be A LOT of pretty stuff we encounter on our trip! (:
Talk to you on Sunday!
Hello my darlings!
I made a promise to myself last Sunday, and this week was indeed much better. I worked out 5 out of 7 days, some days even twice! My food intake is still the biggest problem. I either eat too much, or not enough; it's driving me insane. But I know, "baby steps".. I am making progress, and that's all that matters.
As someone wise once said - it doesn't matter how slow you go as long as you don't stop.
Ok so last week I made a checklist of daily chores I'd like to do. Here's how many times I actually did them (that's a little embarrassing, but still - here you go):
THIS WEEK'S FAVORITES
1/2 banana, 1cup blueberries, 120g peach yogurt, 1/2cup oatmeal, cinnamon, and maple syrup.
So that's it for this week, I'm sure the next one will be even better. On Tuesday I'm seeing a new doctor, who'll help me with my diet. I'm so excited about that, I hope all goes well. Although my mood swings are stunningly stubborn, I do my best to keep them at bay and keep on getting better.
Have a great week everyone!
p. s.: Talk to me on Instagram and Facebook! I love it when I get your messages, it's so nice to get to know you and chat a little!
To be honest, my three-month project had somewhat of a wacky start. Although I am doing my best, I keep getting sick (I guess it's the change of weather and temperature), but I think my "cold & flu season" is over now, and I can flip the ON switch and get back on track!
Frankly, I've disappointed myself quite a lot this week. I've been full of excuses, and my discipline went somewhere nice I guess, because it sure wasn't here with me. So my plan for this week is to complete these chores every day:
I'm looking forward to a new week, and to the challenges it brings along - there is no more room for fear and excuses, nor for the mood swings and overeating (and then feeling sorry for myself haha).

This is a recipe I wanted to share with you for quite some time now. It's my all-time-favorite pumpkin soup, and it's the perfect meal for cold autumn days! And since pumpkin season is at it's peek, you can get really good pumpkins almost anywhere. For this soup I use Hokkaido pumpkins, because they really create this creamy, almost potato-like taste (you can get one of those at pretty much every store / market). And the second ingredient is leek. So here's the procedure:
