Today I had such an amazing day shooting with my babe, Anastasija. She is like THE nicest person ever, so modest, and so generous, with her perfect red hair and the most honest smile. We met quite a while ago, and ever since I've been obsessed with her style! Not only as a blogger - also as a photographer. So today we finally got together and created some amazing content for our blogs! It was a really nice experience, and I hope to do it again sometime soon. Ok now I'm going to stop talking, and you can see for yourself what an amazing time we had!
Talk soon, x
We're all super busy, running around all day every day pursuing happiness. But let me tell you something, happiness can not be caught, nor can you find it anywhere but within. That's why it's super important we take a break regularly, and stop for a minute. Sometimes it's enough to just stand still for a minute and be aware of your body, what surrounds you, and the fact of time. Enjoy the moment. And sometimes we need more than that, but we rarely make time for a day off. Here's why that's a mistake:
You need to recharge you batteries. You need to clear your head, so when you get back to your hectic lifestyle, you can give it your 101%. If you don't take a break you'll just end up being miserable and burned out, you might even get sick!
It's ok to enjoy life. Your job is still going to be there tomorrow if you take an afternoon off. Your kids will still be ok if they're home alone for a day. School will be waiting for you if you decide to stay home for a week. My point is DON'T LET LIFE RUN ITSELF, BECAUSE IT WILL RUN AWAY FROM YOU.
Now go & take some time off, and love the life you live - it's the only one you get!
Finally I've had some time to shoot a series just for myself. It's a shame I don't make more time for these kind of projects, since it's what I really love to do! Now I'm working on the cookbook (which is so exciting!), and a couple of other super nice projects I can't wait to share with you. Anyway, my friend Taja just moved to a new flat, and the vibe is amazing! Full of positive energy and inspiration. Hope you love the photos!
Talk soon, x
Yesterday my boyfriend and I went on a morning trip. Planica, Laghi di Fusine, Lago di Predil, Soča river, Vršič pass, you name it. All in one day! There's a vlog coming soon on Žiga's youtube channel. Until then, some photos. I hope you have a lovely Friday and an even lovelier weekend, talk soon!
If you were following my Instagram story on Saturday, you probably know that Žiga and I hosted an Instagram photography workshop. The goal was to teach the guys who came how to take great photos with our phone (or camera, but mostly phone), and how to edit them to make the most out of our Instagram feeds.
First, we said a word or two about how Instagram works - what are the important things we should be aware of, and how to create a nice theme that reflects our persona on your feed. Later we were shooting some portraits, interiors, and flatlays, and the result is in my opinion amazing! Žiga and I are so happy the workshop turned out so great, and are now one hundred percent sure we will continue hosting them. You can see more photos on our IG profiles: @zigadornik & @ninastanic.
Some of you already asked me about where to apply for the next workshop: we are currently working on our website for Offline. I will post the link everywhere when it's up, so you sure won't miss it! :D You will be able to apply there, but of course you can write me or Žiga an email, or just say hi on IG or FB, and we'll give you all the details there.
We would like to thank everyone who came again, you guys were amazing! Can't wait until the next workshop, and we hope to see you there!
Have a lovely week, x
Carmen and Bilby have been friends for 4 years now! Bilby lives at a house on a mountain near Slovenia's capital, and Carmen comes to visit her very often. They go for long walks in the woods, and I was lucky enough they invited me to come with them last week!
As you may know I spent a couple of days in London last week. My mom recently celebrated her birthday, so I decided to take her on a trip! And as she's very close nature (among other education she is also a biologist), I took her to the London botanical gardens, Kew. We spent the whole day there, and one of the things that impressed me most (again) was the palm tree house. I'm in love with everything tropical, so I couldn't resist to snap a few photos!
Good morning Tuesday!
I have a ton of work fot the academy today, so I decided to start my day with a little photography inspo. 'Stardust' is a series I worked on a while back, and I love it! In the future I definitely want to do more projects like this. What do you think? Let me know!
Have a lovely day, x
