It's such a moody Tuesday morning, and I made the perfect recipe to share with you. As you guys know I am a total porridge addict. I eat it almost every morning, but prepared in different ways. Today I made the ultimate vanilla protein porridge bowl with the most yummy toppings ever!
Now, as a porridge master (more apprentice, really - I'm always learning), here's my favorite way to cook oats: I pour them into a pan and level them. Then I pour water into the pan with the oats until they are completely soaked and under water. Then I add whatever I'm craving at the moment (vanilla, cinnamon, ginger, chia seeds, etc.), and bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat. You'll know when the porridge is done when the mixture gets a creamy texture, and there is almost no water left (the oats are soaked). And then I just get creative with the toppings!
It takes about 5-7 minutes to make, and it really is the perfect breakfast! Packed with protein, vitamins, and minerals, tons of fiber, and amazing taste. Send me some photos if you decide to try it out! ♡
