Hey my darlings!
I know it's been ages since my last "recap post". That's because I didn't want to post the same stuff over and over again, so Now that the three months of training with Carmen passed, I can finally post some awesome content!
First, let's get to the recap of the last three months. On the 23rd of October 2016 I decided it's time to make some changes. So I hit the gym, started eating better, and was working really hard to climb the first steps toward recovery from my eating disorder. Carmen Kralj, my personal trainer, was in touch with my doctor - as was I, of course - and together we managed to make a plan to get me my health back. And it's working! There are no words to say how happy I am to see that I'm finally getting out of this. On my first training session with Carmen I weighed 44kg, and I was miserable. I was constantly feeling sick, my skin was pale and dry, in spite of gaining 4kg in a relatively short period of time. Writing the first post (here), I couldn't even imagine that feeling so much better will ever be an option for me. I was happy with the progress I've already made, and kind of accepted my physical health for the way it was. I did expect it to improve a bit even more, but I never thought three months could make such a difference. Now I'm weighing 46,5kg, and I feel so energized and happy - I'm actually starting to learn how to love my body! To be honest, It's scary to see such a "high number" on the scale. But with the help of Carmen I've learned that kilos aren't important at all. Now I refuse to let the digits on the scale dictate my everyday life; I've learned not to care about how much I weigh, and it's the most liberating feeling ever.
So this is how far I've come in three months. The physical progress is good, but slow. My metabolism still isn't working right, and my diet is still pretty restricted, but I know that'll work out just fine, too. But the progress I've made in my head is enormous - finally I have more good days then bad ones, I can go to sleep at 10pm sometimes, and my sleep improved, I stopped worrying about food so much, and it's so much easier for me to get through the day in general. To conclude: After ten years of living with an eating disorder I finally honestly believe recovery is possible!
And again, to all of you beautiful people, who are struggling too: you are worth it. You can recover. You can have a normal life. If you need someone to talk to, I'm always here <3
Now let me tell you the BIG NEWS!Carmen and I decided that it's a good idea to move the training sessions to my home - AND FILM THEM! Every week she will write an exercise plan for me, and we will film the whole workout, so you can do the exercises properly, if you want to join! I will post one video per week (probably on Sundays), and make a pdf file of the workout plan for you to download or print. The idea is that you do the same routine for one week, 2 - 4 times a week (I will probably do 4 - 6, but it's different for me because I have to boost my metabolism), and then the next week I'll post a new one, then the next week a new one again, and so on. You'll find all the details on the pdf document, but if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask me or Carmen!
I will also try to post as many recipes of my favorite meals as possible, but mostly you can follow my food intake on my Instagram story.
