I promised you this recipe from the Insta story I posted the other day. I made the most yummy protein pancakes ever – I really dislike the taste of whey protein, and I can hardly tell there’s any in this recipe!
I’ve had this problem since forever. I never really enjoyed protein shakes (or bars, or other packaged protein meals) because of the taste – and trust me, I’ve tried more than I can count. So now I’m all about creating recipes that are high in protein, but still taste so good!
I’m using pure whey isolate because it’s the most tasteless one & I can add it to salty or sweet meals! This time I went for sweet :D
½ cup rolled oats
¼ cup whole wheat flour
1 scoop whey protein isolate
½ tsp baking powder
½ cup rice milk
½ tsp bakng soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
First, whisk the egg whites until firm, then slowly add them to the mixture of all the other ingredients. I used sunflower oil for baking (low heat, about 2 minutes each side, covered), and topped them with 1 tsp butter, 1 tbsp honey, and some home made granola.
