So on Friday I promised you my healthy nutella recipe! Since I haven’t been well lately & mostly stayed home, I had plenty of time to create new recipes, and this is really one that’s earned it’s place on my shelf!
AND since I’m sticking to my NY resolution & am steering clear of rafined sugar (well, in fact I don’t eat any kind of sugar except for raw coconut sugar and honey), you can consider this recipe (rafined) SUGAR FREE! I used honey to sweeten it, but you could always use stevia (or some other sugar substitute) if you want.
ALSO all the ingredients I used are organic, that is how I know for sure there are no hidden ingredients in my nutella. I used Nutrisslim raw cacao powder, Gea Bio coconut oil, home made honey, and organic sourced hazelnuts. I also used Slovenian sea salt, and organic bourbon vanilla to add some extra flavor.
SO here’s the recipe:
½ cup raw cacao powder
½ cup coconut oil
½ cup raw honey
½ tsp salt
½ tsp vanilla
Blend all ingredients in a food processor until smooth (10-15min). You can always add more oil if you want it to be more runny, but I prefer to make a more ‘firm’ mixture.
This chocolate-hazelnut spread sits on your shelf up to 2 months (but I dare you not to eat it in a week lol), and it’s great for pancakes, porridge bowls, smoothies, etc.
Definitely let me know if you try it out!
I'll be back soon with a thorough health update, too!
