Today I've prepared something for you to pamper your skin with. We all know the damage cold does to our skin, so we need to take extra good care for it in winter. Using a body scrub on a weekly basIs can really improve the condition of your skin, and it also happens to be one of the easiest skin products you can make yourself! The ingredients of this scrub are carefully chosen regarding the season, so we give our skin all the missing nutrients. I used two skin superfoods; coffee and coconut oil. Coffee grounds are the perfect exfoliator because of their consistency and contain caffeic acid, which boosts collagen production and strengthens the skin. Coffee is known to boost blood circualtion and soothe irritated skin as well. Amazing, right? The other ingredient I used, coconut oil, is also a true skin superfood. Among other benefits there are the facts that coconut oil is an excellent moisturizer, amazing deep-cleanser, works antibacterial, etc. Now let's get to the how to part:
Mix the following in a bowl:
The scrub sits in an airtight container in the fridge up to 3 months (from my experience), but it's better to make smaller amounts of it and use it fresh. I use exfoliators one or two times a week, and it works perfectly for me. Let me know how it turned out for you!
